 Employment background checks may be the screening most of us are familiar with. Work history, criminal history, driving records and confirmation of Social Security numbers are some of the functions of and employment background screening.
Other forms of employee checks help insure that employees are not defrauding the company by claiming hours that are not worked. Large companies sometimes even have fictitious employees that a good employee checking company will unearth. This is different from a pre employment background check.
